OIB held its Annual Plan Performance Meeting for 2017/18 FY

Oromia International Bank S.C held its annual Management Performance review Meeting on August 4, 2018 at
UNECA Conference Centre, here in Finfinne.  

The meeting was held with a theme “Keeping the Green growing,” which is connected with the commendable a
chievement the Bank has registered in the year.

OIB’s Executive Management, Directors, District Managers, Division Managers from the head office, and Branch
Managers convened to evaluate the 2017/18 FY annual performance against the plan.

President of OIB, Abie Sano, opened the meeting in his keynote address applauding the outstanding performance
of the Bank amidst global and local financial challenges, political unrest and related tough situations the world had
been experiencing. 

Abie indicated that there was pleasing growth in the area of deposit, revenue, foreign currency, and a record growth
of profit exceeding the target by 55 per cent.

Director – Strategic Management and Business Development, Obbo Neway Megersa presented the detail annual
corporate performance report.

In his report, Neway highlighted what the global and domestic economy looked like in the year under review.
He also showed the comparison between private and public banks’ operational trend in major areas such as
deposits mobilization, Loan and Financing, Foreign currency Generation, Income and Expense, Profit and market share.
OIB outperformed most of these aspects when compared to the last year same period.

Vice President- Branch Banking, Alemayehu Demisse presented detail performance of branches in their respective
districts measuring all branches’ performance by all parameters.

Members of the Board of Directors also acclaimed the performance and called for more effort to position
the Bank in the place it deserves to be.

The Board of Directors Chairperson Obbo Gadisa Bultossa on the closing remark said that the registered result in the year
was an indicator of realizing our vision to become the first choice. He vowed that the Board of Directors will work closely
with the Management for further excellent performance in every aspect.

The participants entertained questions, comments and opinions that go towards achieving common goals and
taking OIB onward with sound commitment and determination.

Finally, the Bank awarded top ten best performing branches and urged the rest to work their level best.
